MILTON-FREEWATER COMMUNITY DRUG TAKE BACK EVENT

When:  Saturday, October 28th, 2017---8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Where:  Milton-Freewater Police Department Lobby/722 S. Main St.

What:  In collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration, citizens, both inside and outside the City of Milton-Freewater can dispose of unused, unwanted, un-needed controlled, uncontrolled, and over the counter medications by bringing them to the lobby of the Milton-Freewater Police Department and depositing them into a disposal box.

Identification is not necessary and will not be required;

Medications may be disposed of either in their original packaging, or dumped into the disposal box in loose form; if disposing in a marked prescription container, it is recommended that citizens remove any personal identifying information;

Liquid medications are accepted, preferable in their original container---the owner should ensure that the cap is on and tightly sealed on the container;

IV solutions, injectables, syringes, chemotherapy medications, or medical waste will not be accepted, due to the hazards they pose;

Law Enforcement will not handle medications or medication containers at any time---participants must simply throw the entire container in the disposal box.
