The mission of the Milton-Freewater Police Department is to work with and for members of our culturally diverse community to enforce the law in a fair, firm and friendly manner, to provide and maintain a high level of professionalism in the performance of our duties, to preserve the peace, prevent crime, and strive to keep the public safe and secure.

 

The goal of this department is to improve the quality of life in the community by actively participating in a partnership with the citizenry to keep our families and our neighborhoods safe and free of crime. 

The Police Department staffs 11 sworn officers and 6 dispatchers to provide 24 hour police services and support fire, ambulance and emergency response needs for our community.

Our programs include criminal investigations, traffic patrol, emergency communications, narcotics team participation, and City Code enforcement.
