Small Commercial
Availability:
Applicable to all small commercial customers whose measured
demand does not exceed 50 KW in any month. Energy supplied
under this schedule shall not be sub-metered for resale to
others. This schedule will include all City‑owned accounts
except pumps.
Energy Charge:
First 15,000 KWHR @ $.0449 per KWHR.
All additional KWHR @ $.0449 per KWHR.
Demand Charge:
First 20 KW of demand - no charge.
Excess above 20 KW @ $5.45 per KW.
Determination of Demand:
Demand measurement will be made by suitable instruments at the
point of delivery. Demand for any month shall be defined as
the average kilowatt delivery during the 30 minute period in
which consumption of energy is the greatest during the month
for which determination is made.
Service Charge:
The monthly service charge for an account inside of the City
Limits will be $10.00 for each meter. The monthly service
charge for an account outside of the City Limits will be
$11.00 for each meter.
Delivery
Point:
The above rates are based upon the supply of service to the
entire premises through a single delivery point and metering
point and at one voltage and phase. Separate supply for the
same customer at other points of consumption or at different
voltages or phase will be separately metered and billed. At
the City's option, energy may be metered on the primary side
of the transformers for any customers requiring service at
more than one secondary voltage.
Load Management Discount
For customers whose equipment is controlled by City load
management system, the following discounts will be allowed:
Water heaters 2‑1/2%
Electric heat 2‑1/2%
Air conditioning 1%
For load management customers who may have only a portion of
a load controlled, the City reserves the right to reduce the
percentage discount.
Rules and Regulations:
Service under this classification is subject to the City of
Milton‑Freewater Utilities General Rules and Regulations.
Sprinkler System Controls and Other Small
Unmetered Loads:
Sprinkler system controls, intermitant lighting such as flashing
traffic control devices, and other small unmetered loads can be
served at the discretion of the Electric Superintendent at a
flat rate of $25 per calendar year. This fee will be due and
payable by March 1st. Service will be disconnected if payment
is not received by April 1st. The point of connection shall be
at the supply side of the customers
breaker panel or equipment. The Electric Superintendent may
determine that a metering installation is required, which will
cause the load to be a separate account and therefore must
comply with the applicable rate schedule.
