April 28, 2008 City Council Meeting
1.
Recognition to public works employees for awards received
through the American Water Works Association & Pacific Northwest
Clean Water Association. Scott Amon received the Water Operator
of the Year Award for 2008. Steve Birdwell was also recognized
for past awards received. He was a member of the crew which
received the Water System Project of the Year in 1998. Steve
was also honored with a Regional Activities Award in 2005.
Great job to both of these outstanding employees.
2.
Council introduced and held the first reading of Ordinance #947,
this ordinance amends Title 10 of the City Code implementing
Residential Design Standards, minimum lot size in R-M zone and
would modify accessory building requirements. This was a
unanimous vote.
3. Council unanimously approved the Mayor’s signature to an
Intergovernmental Agreement with the Dept. of Land Conservation
and Development for acceptance of a $45,000 Economic Opportunity
Analysis Grant.
4. A resolution requesting legislative changes to the Ethics
Reporting Requirements was unanimously passed.
5. Council reviewed their current goals and established the
disposition of them. New goals will be added at the council’s
request and will be presented for approval at a future council
meeting.
6. A liquor license application for Sam’s Stop & Shop was
unanimously passed.
All Council members were present.
